BABY MOON!

It has been quite the semester...between the joys of early pregnancy, finishing up my Masters degree, and Chris being diagnosed with Diabetes. We planned a Baby Moon back in January because I found great tickets to Tampa and my friend from college lives there. She's letting us stay in her place, and we have been able to have a nice balance of city life and relaxing by the beach. We also have been able to have meals with some great friends...thanks Matt and Abbey! We definitely needed this time away together to refuel and spend time alone. It's going to be a busy summer, and before we know it Baby Hardy will be here. Then real changes begin :) We so thankful to have this opportunity. We truly feel like the Lord has taken and will continue to take care of us.

Bradley...La Leche...and Diabetes

Well, I would have to say that this has been one of our most intense weeks of marriage. Long story, but Chris was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes on Sunday in the ER. This has been a whirlwind of talking, praying, processing, and making lifestyle changes. Chris has given me great perspective...he said, "I know God will let us do things in ministry that he wouldn't of otherwise. We're going to use this Diabetes for his glory. People have Diabetes in India!" Amen. I am so glad that I married a man who truly knows God and loves him.

On the other hand, Baby Boy Hardy is doing just fine. We're onto our 5th week of birthing class. We meet for 2 hours a week. It's been really fun and intimate. It's a small class, and the instructor really cares. We're going to try and do this natural (especially with future natural births in India). I want to have that experience here first. So, the key to Bradley: relaxation. We've learned exercises and relaxation techniques. But, I know it will hurt like heck!! Oh well. Chris is learning to be my coach :) He's going to be a great one.

We also attended a "La Leche" breastfeeding meeting. We were suspicious walking in, but we had a great time. It was a couples meeting...so Chris came with me. We're going to go back the next few months before the baby. The moms are intense, but we learned a lot. Have you ever heard of the "breast crawl" after birth? It's pretty amazing.

Say some prayers for us please. We've had a lot of adjusting and rethinking the past week. God has sustained us and will continue to do so. He truly loves us.
