The 1st pictures are from my class last week. I drove with another employee, from a local NGO, 30 minutes outside of our city. 22 ladies came, 7 pregnant women. My class takes around 90 minutes and covers pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. I have to do it completely in Hindi because these women only know Hindi. It has been a great experience and I have really enjoyed it.
The 2nd pictures are from my training in Mumbai. The women came from all over India for this training. CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) began in the US, but Sonali brought it to India in 2005. I am almost complete with the requirements, and then I will be a certified childbirth and lactation educator.
What a journey!! This is definitely more fitting to my passions and interests. God is using my nursing background, mom life experience, and training and certifications already. Praise Him for these opportunities.
