36 weeks...

We've entered a new stage of pregnancy. This week our doctor gave me the speech about "when to go to the hospital." It's crazy to think that I could go into labor at anytime now, but the reality is with this being our first...he'll probably come a week late. So, we wait. We're hoping he'll delay the next 10 days because our doctor is in Ireland right now. I guess he'll come when he's ready!

Only 2 more weeks left of full-time employment at Central DuPage Hospital. I'm definitely slowing down. As the belly has grown, strange things have happened. For example, what other time in life makes it okay for an 80 year old man to rub your belly? Or for people to call you "mama" all the time? Not my favorite parts of pregnancy, but I'm learning to be nice and gracious about...without shouting, "Get your hands off me!" or "My name is Dana!"

Nesting is almost complete. It has required much patience on my husband's part. Thanks Chris! I never thought I would have such an overwhelming desire to clean, organize, and get ready. They definitely should rename the nesting portion of pregnancy and simply call it anger management. The LORD is gracious, and he is teaching me to walk in his strength during this season. When will the baby come? We just don't know...
