We have had a great month with Chris being off of school. We started with the holidays at our families' homes...then we've been able to spend some quality time with friends. Sam has been so great. He loves to be around people, but I'm also realizing just how important nap times are. He had his 4 month appt and weighed in at 18 lbs 7 oz...and 26 1/2 in. He's 95% in both categories. We are hoping for a future wrestler...well, Chris is at least. He's been very active, alert and playful. He loves being in the Baby Bjorn and going to the store with me. He's still not a fan of the infant carrier, but we're getting there.
Chris and I have had some good conversations about moving forward with India. It's been great to process, pray and dream together. Only the LORD knows the specific details, we must simply be faithful in taking steps forward. I'm finally talking as if we are moving again...for awhile, I just couldn't do that. We still have to raise $5000 a month, go to a couple trainings, and pack up a house (or small apartment). Chris graduates this May...praise God. We'll move forward quickly from there.
I'm thankful for sweet conversations with friends this break. We were visited by our friends who live in East Asia. They spur us on...Last week we spent time with our friends who challenge us to thinking globally, pursue the LORD, and have a good time. It was fun to giggle with our kids, talk about the pros and cons of home schooling, and listen to the husband discuss Greek exegesis. Our God is faithful...and allows us to be in community even when we're in transition.
