6 month onesies and 2 hour feedings...

Almost 3 weeks ago, Sam switched his day feedings to every two hours...or less. It's been exhausting. I thought he just started the 6 week growth spurt early, but it seems Sam has entered a permanent growth spurt. He's been eating every 2 hours during the day...for 3 weeks. We've bonded to new heights, but by the end of the day I'm exhausted. Pumping just doesn't produce as much milk as he eats, so it's me. I'm supposed to head back to work in less than a month. I'm praying that this changes by then, otherwise we will have other decisions on our hands. And...he's moved onto 6 month onesies. He's a tank.

When we were at his 6 week appointment, I mentioned to the doctor that he has green poop by the end of the day. The doctor just commented, "It's a chicken and egg dilemma." And we moved on to the next question. The thing I was noticing about Sam...he is way more fussy when his poop is green. I did some of my own research after he had several nights of crying spells. I realized that he could possibly be sensitive to the cow's milk products I consume. So, last Friday...I swore off dairy products for awhile. He's a new man. No green poop. No end of the day crying spells. I've moved onto Soy Milk for now. It's not bad, and my generous aunt gave us a nice gift card for Whole Foods when Sam was born. Cow's milk protein sensitivity is usually done by 4 months...we will see.
