It's hard to believe that Sam will be turning 1 on Saturday!! People always remark, "Wow, hasn't it gone so fast?" I don't think it has. I would agree that it has been a good year, but it has also felt in a lot of ways long. Sorry Sam. I've been reminiscing about what I was doing this week when we were still WAITING for Sam. I went on 3 mi walks, ate blueberry french toast every morning, and was wide awake from 2am - 5 am everyday.
We've had so much fun the past month. Sam's personality is coming out more and more. He's a very vocal child and doesn't have much fear of people. He's definitely started using his own words. After spending day after day with him, I'm learning his new found language. I'm excited for his birthday party on Saturday. Chris would disagree that Sam needs anything new...or deserves to be celebrated after a year of people oogling over him. I think it will be a special day...our baby is turning 1!!!
The Fall is underway in our apartment complex. The kids have gone back to school, and our ministries will begin again. It's crazy to think that this time next year we won't live here anymore. That makes me a little sad...and challenges me more to CARPE DIEM!! This will be a good year.
