After months of questioning whether we should enter the "blogging" world, we have decided to enter together. 2 years ago Chris and I had just met. We were sharing our excitement about our time spent in India. AND NOW...2 years later, we're married and on our way.
We will be spending 3 weeks in India this summer. We're excited. I think that is the only emotion that can be used right now. It will be an experience together. Last time we were there, we were alone. Traveling alone. Processing alone. But now, we get to travel with our best friend and favorite confidante. Awww. Isn't that great?
What will we be doing there? We are not sure completely. We will be staying with various families who live there permanently. We want to live life alongside them, be an encouragement and blessing, and ultimately learn more about the Lord through our time there. India is an interesting place. Complicated is the word I would use. I remember so many times asking, "Why Jesus?" Why am I fortunate enough to have the ultimate spiritual blessing of salvation, the materials blessings of living in America, and the intellectual blessings of being college educated. Grace.
Time and time again I was reminded that by God's grace I am saved. It is NOT because of Dana. So, I pray that during our time away we would gain perspective again. In India there is much poverty and desparity, but God is at work there. And if it's in His will, we will get to live there...work there...and serve Him alongside people who are passionate about His Kingdom.
YEAH!!! May the Lamb receive the prize of his suffering: an inheritance of all the nations!
